The World Hockey Association Fact Book

The World Hockey Association started play in 1972, and for seven seasons challenged the mighty National Hockey League for hockey dominance in North America. It was the league founded on the shoulders of Bobby Hull and Gordie Howe, and carried forth by Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier and Mike Gartner.
