Raised by the Wind

Raised by the Wind is a delightful story about Christina, a little girl lives with her grandparents. On a walk to the beach one day she tells her granddad she's decided she wants to be raised by giraffes.

He suggests other parent possibilities--like how about the two cats in the window of the cottage over there? Or those trees ahead?
