The Twelfth Falcon

The Twelfth Falcon is a character-driven mystery thriller depicting how power in the hands of the wrong people can lead to devastating consequences. It is also about a man, through his strength, determination, and ingenuity is able to confront these powerful forces. When eight-year-old Scott McBride witnessed his father participate in the racially-motivated murder of a migrant worker, he becomes haunted by the event. He promises himself that he would never be like "them." Now, seventeen years later, he gains possession of files damaging to certain powerful individuals. Hunted by an extremist militia group, Scott tries to unravel the mystery behind the cryptic documents. To do this, he must survive a massive manhunt that propels him on a switchbacked ride across the deserts of Texas and Arizona, culminating in a heart-stopping climax in the diagonal avenues of power. Though taut and fast-paced, THE TWELFTH FALCON is suffused with vibrant prose and unique well-drawn characters.
