Running Out of Time

Thorne brings us into the lives of two couples: Dan and Kendal Caldwell and Quinton and April Downing. Both men work for the Chicago Police Department; their schedule puts them in harm's way day after day. The two women work together at NET news station.

Even though Dan is a police officer, Kendal can't turn to him for help when she realizes she is being stalked. Johnny Simmons is following her, oftentimes placing himself in direct contact with her. With Dan's fierce protectiveness and hot temper, Kendal fears his reaction if she were to tell him about Simmons.

As April sets out on a journey to find her birth mother, she lays bare family secrets. Once revealed, she has a choice to either embrace her discoveries or disown the only family she has ever known.
