Firehouse are the working homes of the American firefighter. These firehouses are recognized for their warm welcome, camaraderie and pleasant aromas coming from the kitchens. Firefighters hearty appetites and love for cooking and eating are well known by all. Another characteristic firefighters have in common is a genuine kindheartedness towards people. This unique Firehouse Favorites Cookbook has united local fire departments with restaurants and businesses to share their favorite recipes and help aid the neighboring children affected by burn trauma.

Every page will bring you closer to the lives of the firefighters and the sponsors. They will share personal moments and feelings along with the best of recipes. Some of the recipes revealed are not only favorites but also family or restaruant secrets. All 338 pages with over 700 photos photographically illustrate each recipe authentically. Your mouth will water just looking at them! The recipe pages are smythe sewn and then saddle-stiched into a laminated harbound cover, for many years of hard use in the fire station.
