The Price of Access tells a sweeping story of medical innovation, financial jousting, and professional competition set against the backdrop of the deadly medical condition End-Stage Renal Disease, or kidney failure as it is commonly known. At Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston during the late sixties, a group of doctors challenged the entrenched medical format which treated patients requiring dialysis and forged a path of courage, skill and innovation.
