Success Motivation and Life Skills

Having been in the classroom in inner-city public middle schools for nearly a decade as a science teacher, the author realizes that a lack of inner motivation and a lack of social skills put many students in a disadvantaged position, both in the classroom and later in life. He addresses these barriers to success in a two-volume series that teachers will find helpful for teaching character education and self-motivation in the classroom. Success Motivation and Life Skills is also a resource that parents can use to initiate discussions and guide their children through the difficult terrain of teenage years. It is one of the author's efforts to help bridge the gap between school and the real world, motivating students to move in the positive direction of civility, culture, and character. Dr. Edison O.
