From the Limbs of My Poetree

This book is a celebration of the human spirit and a reminder of its consequences when manipulated for malicious reasoning. This book is my diary. It is the culmination of my life experiences up until this point in my life. More than poetry, this book represents my passion: my passion for people of African descent to understand their past and use it as a tool for self empowerment; and my desire for all of humanity to realize that so much more could be achieved as a people if we would only take the same energy we expend on hate and use that to improve understanding. The goal of humanity is to learn from the innovations of the past in order to create a better future for all; not the elite, the privileged, or even the "chosen" ones, whoever they may be.

The lessons of history have already been written. We are taking life’s multiple-choice final exam. Our responses will determine our promotion to prosperity, or our demotion into further disarray, destruction, and demoralization. It is my hope that the words in this confessional will serve as one of your study guides. Choose your answers wisely.
