Here, using color photographs and non-technical text, the authors show what shells and other seashore creatures look like, on the beach. Forty-five species are included, with species accounts that give interesting details about the organisms that created the shells: what they eat, typical behaviors, predators, color variations, anatomical adaptations, reproductive methods, etc.
