Mawazo I & II

These are two Sisters, separated during childhood. A loving family adopts one Sister (Nikil), and the other Sister (Odette) is shifted through many foster care home placements. Take this journey with them and listen, examine and explore the poetry, which expresses the rhythms of their lives. Evelyn (Yum) says, The power to paint and sculpt with words is a gift from the Creator. These Beautiful Sister/Sistahs use their power to invite, incite, and challenge us to grow and to commit to family, community, and self.
