Rostam: Search for the King (Shahnameh, Persian Book of Kings)

This is the 4th book in the Tales from the Shahnameh series. It chronicles the story of a young Rostam, his father Zal and his grandfather Saum. The Simurgh is introduced as well as his mother Rudabeh. Rostam must leave to find the new Kai and summon him to protect the land from Afrasiab and the invading Turanians.
