Driftwood: A Literary Journal of Voices from Afar

Driftwood, is a literary journal of voices from afar. Driftwood is an exercise in curiosity, a journal whose focus is on the world beyond our own confines. We find the world way too interesting and humanity far too complex to be defined exclusively by one culture’s point of view. There's a wealth of incredibly talented writers out there whose work is simply not being translated nor published simply because they speak of a world which we're not familiar with. We're encouraged by the recent successes of authors such as: Ha Jin, Edwidge Danticat, Orhan Pamuk, who have proved that there is definetely an appetite for such works. Ultimately, we’d like for Driftwood to be a platform for unexpected voices from unexpected places.
