Description
No particular experience in life is exclusive to any one individual life; experience is universal. Life happens to the individual until the individual realizes that he can make Life happen as he comes to know the Living Christ, to receive His mercies that are new every morning, and to live, to move, and to have all his being in Him. It is the ultimate Making Lemonade Out of Lemons experience when one learns his value, his worth, and his stature in Christ Jesus. My Heart on a Blog began as an intermittent recording of my daily experiences expressed as I sought the Lord for wisdom, guidance, consolation, healing, comfort and so many other conditions the human heart finds itself in when life tries to dictate the day. It grew into a nearly daily journal as more and more I recognized the Presence of God in my every moment and from there expanded into short daily devotionals as He revealed Himself to me in this scripture or that one. Perhaps the most oft expressed comment about the posts was that they touched a wound in another’s heart and helped that one find healing. So many expressed their thankfulness for the encouragement that touched a personal issue of which no one else knew, and yet the Lord showed them just how deeply He did know and how greatly He cared. Others discovered that just like me, they were not alone in what confounded them. It is the author’s heartfelt prayer that the writings contained in this collection help those who have felt so alone in life know that they are not; help those who have had no expression for what was locked up inside find release; and help each one of us find the strength and the courage to go on believing in a Good God despite the signs of the times that seem to declare that He has abandoned us. Never has He left us nor let go of our hands; always He is with us, tenderly watching over us and protecting us from evil. It is as we learn to recognize His Presence that the weights of this world lose their power to hold us back. Color photographs including the "White Lion Looking Up" enclosed. Be blessed.
