Jonathan's Journey to Mount Miapu

Ten-year-old Jonathan Michael Goodman has always felt different from other kids his age. He still can't shake his intense fear of the dark. He has vivid dreams that sometimes come true. His parents are forever worrying about him. And now he is lost on a strange yet magnificent mountain and must find his way home. But first he must save the idyllic Mount Miapu from the Great Shadow that is threatening to destroy it. With the help of the enchanting Ariella, wise Grandma Trudy, Chief Atitlan of Mapichu Village, a brave red-tailed hawk, and the great teacher Cornelius, Jonathan learns he has special abilities. As he begins to use them, he not only finds the courage to face his greatest fear but also discovers an intriguing new perspective on life.
