The Analytic Production Guide examines the tasks of a first-line supervisor in an analytic unit of an intelligence organization or a company. It offers tips on how to guide analysts' production from conception to publication and delivery. The Guide is designed to complement a companion volume, the Analytic Writing Guide, published by Pherson Associates, LLC as an instructional vehicle for the analytic writer. The two publications discuss similar issues, approaching the "how to" aspects of the analytic process from different perspectives. Each focuses on the needs of a different audience-analysts and managers-and their unique responsibilities in the analytic and intelligence production process.
