📖 Description
As a church lay speaker and as a good physician, I have learned that good clean humor has great value and is medicinal in its application. On the radio and TV, humor seems to have taken a turn toward the vulgar and profane. This trend is neither good for the moral and ethical training of our children who are coming behind us nor our dependence on this wonderful English language that is the centerfold and core of our culture, communication and literature. In Proverbs 17:22 it is recorded: "A merry heart does good like medicine. It is good for the soul." Good humor is good medicine and the good, clean stories and illustrations can serve to enliven sermons, speeches and ordinary conversations. A merry heart is indeed a blessing in times such as these. Reflect and Enjoy!
