Shay Wilson finds her boyfriend of two years committing the ultimate betrayal in the house they shared and planned to build a family in. Was it her weight that drove him to find another woman or was it her continual refusals to marry him? She attempts to move on with her life but Tony, her ex, will not give her peace of mind. Persistently trying to fight his way back into her heart, he leaves her perplexed. Cari Brown is Shay Wilson's best friend who appears to have the picture-perfect life with her husband of 10 years and her two wonderfully talented children. However, things are not always what they appear to be. Cari's marriage is falling apart with a neglectful husband and a too-pretty-for-her-own-good nanny on the prowl. She tries everything she can to reignite the passion that is dormant in her marriage but her attempts are futile and only seem to only make their situation worse. These two women struggle with the lowest of low blows that life could possibly deal them. Suicide, drugs, incarceration, vengeful lovers, and the feeling of unworthiness enter their lives.
