True story of a young flyer who flew with the 445th Bomb Group of the famous 8th Air Force as a tail gunner in a B-24 Liberator, during World War II. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross for having shot down five German enemy aircraft. His plane crashed landed and he was a POW and escaped out.
