BEING and DOING to the Glory of God

God our Father made us new beings to be to His glory. None of that is of our doing. Something I read got me thinking about that. "We have focused on the DOING-God is looking for those who will concentrate on BEING" (Greg Austin, www.gregaustin.org). What Greg put so succinctly is true of the church today. It is also prophetic and biblical. Our being is God's doing. Our doing is God being through us. We are His workmanship and He works in us both to will and to do His good will. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God-not because of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure. Philippians 2:13 KJV This makes me think. It is what this book is about.
