Syllabus: Children ages 4-7 learn to read simple stories by sounding out one-syllable words with the short vowels A, E, I, O, U, the consonants N, T, S, D, H, M, R, G, B, L, C, F and the diagraph TH. By the end of Book 1, your child will have learned to sound out and read 92 words based strictly upon the rules of phonics, plus an additional 4 sight words.
