Democracy 2.0: What it will take to have another 200 years of freedom

Though imperfect, democracies are the best forms of government so far. They result in fewer wars and suffering, and lead to explosions of innovation and increases in prosperity. Unfortunately, that prosperity can lead to complacency, apathy, and the eventual decline of the democratic society and a return to bondage. Historically, democracies have only lasted a few hundred years, and some of our modern democracies are starting to show signs of decline. So with the explosion of innovation of the last 200 years that has accompanied the rise of democracies, has anything been invented or discovered that might help our modern democracies to endure? Years of researching, studying, and pondering have led me to the conclusion that there is one discovery that can help us solve the complex issues of modern society. It is presented here as Democracy 2.0.
