It presents the first known detailed history in print of every type of rollsign used on the BMT and IND (including Staten Island Rapid Transit) from 1914 with the BMT STANDARDS through the R-38's into the 1970's. Also included are the rollsigns and plate signs used in all of the experimental subway and elevated cars.
