South Loop Review : Creative Nonfiction+ Art (SLR), founded in 1987, is published annually by the Creative Writing Nonfiction Program within the Department of English at Columbia College Chicago.

SLR publishes essays and memoir, lyric and experimental forms, non-linear narratives, blended genre, photography and art. We look for personal essays and memoir with fresh voices and new takes on presentation and form. We publish established and emerging authors, and we look for writing that reflects a global and diverse culture.

SLR includes essays on craft and interviews with notable authors in our pages. The forthcoming issue will include interviews with Tom Montgomery-Fate, John Bresland and Claudia Rankine.
