The United States Constitution (Revisited) is the second volume of the trilogy “The Revolutionary Era” of the “America The Great” series. The trials of the American Revolutionary War revealed the many flaws of the United States’ first constitution, The “Articles of Confederation and Perpetual Union.” The fact that any action taken under the Articles was subject to being negated by any one state as the Articles gave each state the right to veto any action necessitated that a new Constitution be crafted. The far-seeing forefathers who founded the United States faced the problem of creating a document that would not only satisfy the rebellious colonists, but would lay out the nation’s path for the future. Their success was little short of miraculous as the “Constitution for the United States of America” set the new nation on the path to greatness.
