I'll Speak for Change

How does one go from homelessness to Morehouse College; from standing in the soup line to serving in it; and from listening to the encouragement of his mother to encourage and inspire others? Basheer Jones has traveled near and far, speaking to people from all walks of life. He has a story and a delivery that will cause everyone to stop and engage. Basheer was born in Brooklyn, N Y and later moved to Cleveland, OH, where he graduated from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr High School. Though he and his family dealt with sporadic streaks of homelessness, Basheer was determined to make his mother proud, as he went on to graduate with honors from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. His life experiences have been the fuel behind his sincere words and his soul stirring delivery; as he speaks to the hearts of many through his poetry.
