God is in Control

For generations, people whispered of a secret cabal of powerful and extremely wealthy individuals who have been hard at work directing the affairs of men toward what actually turns out to be a biblical conclusion (though they are not convinced). Does this powerful group actually exist? What is their ultimate purpose? God has warned us repeatedly in His Word what we can expect as things move toward the end of this age. In many ways, it seems that the average person has little to no power over the things that are happening in society. Since before 2008, America’s economy has become consistently worse. Civil disturbances have grown. Will our government become fully tyrannical as it seeks to abridge, infringe, or even overturn one amendment after another? Will Israel become involved a full-scale war as it appears they might? Why does it seem as though societal upheaval throughout our globe is worsening daily? Is God on the throne or not? If He is, why are all of these terrible things happening in America and the world and why do people seem powerless to stop them? In the end, we need to learn about the world and what is happening, but more importantly, we also need to come to a point of recognizing that God is still in full control. Either that, or He is not at all in control.
