Issue #277 has a large focus on music beginning with the feature story on MIYAVI, who is touring the world as one of Japan's top international rock acts and entering the world of Hollywood with his 2014 acting role in Angelina Jolie's Unbroken and reworking of the classic theme song for the new Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. Music-related interviews range from the classical music of Conductor Carl St. Clair and the "cello-phonic metal" of Apocalptica to the modern Japanese rock of HYDE and K.A.Z in VAMPS and the new fusion of WagakkiBand bringing traditional Japanese instruments together with western rock, shigin and Vocaloid songs. There is also a classic rock retrospective featuring interviews with and photos by three of rock's greatest photographers - Bob Gruen, Mick Rock and Brad Elterman, as well as an interview with three generations of the Maglieri family who have been running the world-famous Whisky a Go Go and Rainbow Bar & Grill
