Description

A new U.S. Senator finds that Congress is full of corruption—and danger. Soon after becoming a U.S. Senator from Ohio, Doctor Richard Johnson comes to realize just how badly the United States Congress is broken. Vain and self-serving members of Congress are becoming rich on the backs of the citizens. They lie, cheat and steal for power and political gain. Many will do anything to prevent a change to their way of life. However, the new senator is determined to save his country. While Senator Johnson recruits the necessary votes to pass legislation to stop the waste and fraud, he realizes that his life is in danger. He calls on his friend Mathew (Matt) Abeque from Ohio. Matt is a combat veteran and a skilled marksman who has his own ideas about right and wrong. Only a few of his friends know about his recent history as a vigilante. Only a few call him Paladin. Before Matt leaves for Washington D.C., Senator Johnson's wife reports him as missing. While trying to save Senator Johnson's life, Matt is forced to kill two assassins, a senator and several corrupt union thugs. Both Matt and Senator Johnson's beautiful office manager are beaten and nearly killed while trying to protect the senator. Meanwhile, romance is in the air. Recognizing the depth of ignorance among the members of Congress, Matt convinces three senators of the need for congressional reform. A new, mandatory curriculum is developed for all members of Congress. They will be required to pass a test at the end of a six month course or risk losing their seat in office. The three senators, a history professor and Matt create a course consisting of several parts including American and U.S. history; the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and, most importantly, ethics. They will learn of the struggles of the colonists and the founders, the reasons they declared independence and why they constructed the Constitution the way they did. In addition to the current members of Congress, all candidates aspiring to seats in Congress will be required to pass the test before running for office. The goal of the course is to teach the importance of keeping the citizens of the United States free—free of tyranny, fraud, corruption, stifling regulation and debt. A Congressional Reform School is born.
