Francis and Edith Schaeffer were as energetic and forceful as they were tiny physically. The world noticed Francis in the 1960s as an evangelical who could persuade. He generated a prolific, well-received literature of Christian apologetics. In addition Francis and Edith founded L Abri Fellowship to counsel the spiritually dispossessed. Francis was downed by lymphoma at age 72 in 1984. Edith endured, active almost to the end in 2013 at age 98.
