The Camino de Santiago is an ancient path that calls to pilgrims of all nationalities, faiths, and ages. This is the story of a father and daughter - aged 82 and 54 - walking together from the border of France, over the Pyrenees and across the north of Spain, to Santiago de Compostela, a journey of 42 days and nearly 500 miles. In the autumn of 2012, Linda Alvarez and her father, Harold Graham, arrived on the Camino with very different levels of preparation, health, and strength. In this lively and candid telling, Linda shares both the delights and challenges of their pilgrimage. As the journey unfolds, they find that the pilgrim experience is one of humility, camaraderie, endurance, ritual, and joy.
