The Awakened Relationship: Transforming upsets and blame into love and harmony

Welcome to The Awakened Relationship, a compilation and sharing of what my wife, Diane, and I have found works in our relationship. Our ideas may not be what you are looking for at this time in your life, but we hope you will at least consider them. They are not a reinforcement of the “Falling in Love Fairy Tale” that most of us were brought up with, but these methods have created a “Happily Ever After” that is better than we could have ever imagined.

My wife Diane and I fell in love “backwards,” meaning that we began dealing with the hard issues right from the beginning of our relationship. Because we were fortunate enough to discover the principles we want to share with you, we have been growing deeper in love and more connected ever since.

Most of this has been documented in our book Falling in Love Backwards, an Unlikely Tale of Happily Ever After. And most of the methods and techniques we use, I first wrote about in Living Awake: the Practice of Transforming Everyday Life. Both of these books are available on Amazon.

My relationship with Diane has allowed me to apply the principles from Living Awake in the context of an intimate relationship and to experience the true happiness and satisfaction that is available from having a healthy and successful partnership/marriage.
