Centurion

Jaymi Nguyen is a private in the Terran Expeditionary Force, serving as an infantryman in the 9th Commando Brigade. Relatively new in Centurion Company, Jaymi struggles to overcome feelings of loss when confronted with the death of his comrades at the hands of an inhuman enemy, and comes to realize the hard way that combat is nothing like what he had expected it to be; that combat is quick, callous, and unforgiving, and that its consequences are final.
