A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR/JOURNAL DESIGNER:This morning, I sat in my kitchen, drinking my wonderful Puerto Rican coffee, (a land I have only been in for a few months) and asking God where, in this Living Word (the Holy Bible) that I should read as a start to my day. The scripture He gave me is this:Fear thou not; for I am with thee: yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.~ Isaiah 41:10The scripture reminded me of something that happened just two weeks ago, that I’d like to share with you, as these two items are how this journal came about.I had walked to the plaza one morning, which is a concrete, park-like area in the middle of town. As I approached, before I could even see anything going on, I heard “Hallelujah!” coming through a speaker system. My ears perked up, my step quickened, and I was excited to go further, and see what kind of church was happening in town! I found a preacher, with his cell phone music hooked to the speaker, and a microphone. He was worshipping God and praising through song. It was wonderful, and I could feel Holy Spirit right away. I sat down on a concrete park bench, and listened, although I could only understand the very few words I could translate from Spanish. He then went on, to preach out of Luke, chapter 5. It was amid that sermon, that he stopped, turned around and looked directly at me. He made eye contact, and he said, in perfect English that I understood, “He know your name. Jesus loves you!” He never missed a beat and went right on with his sermon in Spanish. I did not know if that man knew how to speak my language, or if God interpreted what He said, for me. It didn’t matter, the message was clear.That is what I want for you, as you use this journal. I want the message to be clear. Slow your mind as you study God’s precious Word, and listen closely, to what He is wanting you to know. It can be life-changing. I urge you to write it down, go back and read it from time to time, and keep it close to your heart.“He knows your name. Jesus loves you!”
