After decades of inactivity, the defenders of Rukk City are challenged by old enemies and a new emerging threat. Hunnt, a young Rukal warrior, is rapidly gaining recognition as a valuable addition to the Cnihthad legions, but as he approaches a turning point in his quest to join the fighting units his life suffers a major hit with the death of one of his closest friends. Meanwhile, the inhabitants of the city and the Guild's Council Members are about to find out that the view they had of the world they inhabit was a mere drop in the ocean that is the world of Errthia.
