Signal Processing Methods in EEG Based Brain-Computer Interfaces

This book focuses on the signal processing methods that enable BCI technology. Starting with introductory chapters presenting the key notions of neuroscience and electroencephalography (EEG), it describes basic BCI concepts such as a/synchronous operation and the main neural sources of control, namely motor imagery, sensory-evoked potentials, and attention processes. The processing of EEG signals for BCI applications is then presented in depth. Datasets will be available online, so readers can apply the algorithms to test their validity and, at a later stage, apply them to their own datasets.
