Entre esta inmensa variedad de cimas sobresale la del cerro de S. Francis's co, cuya altura absoluta es de tres mil trescientas diez y seis varas, y segun las averiguaciones que se'han hecho hasta el dia, se considera que es el punto mas elevado del Estado de Zacatecas.
La sierra de este nombre es el punto extremo dela de Palomas, desde el convento de Guadalupe hasta el Norte, donde desaparecen-las colinas, y tiene seis leguas de largo y casi cuatro de ancho.
