This volume reports on an extensive study of the landscape of the Upper Witham Valley, Jolliffe's home in Lincolnshire. It combines systematic fieldwalking with GIS results to piece together a picture of the development of land-use and settlement in the valley, from Neolithic and Bronze Age axe-heads to Iron Age settlement and pastoral farming and a Villa established at an early date, and illuminated by an impressive coin record.
