Visions of the Heart: Vol. I

Visions of the Heart is a life-long, continuous work that is ever-changing and evolving. The book is a compilation of personal history, passions, trials and desires. The book began in 1991 with the creation of the first poem, “A Lover’s Dance,” written for one of the most important women to ever enter my life. The work progressed slowly from that time throughout my college years, where my personal growth, experiences and friendships broadened to include deeper meaning and thoughts, such as in “Bachelor” or “My Beautiful Lady.” Visions of the Heart is not merely a book of poems arbitrarily written without purpose, but a deep and personal view into one man’s heart, his loves, his losses and his still unmet desires. Each poem within the book holds a deep, personal meaning for me and hopefully the person for whom they were originally inspired by. Slowly, I continue to be inspired by the greatness of others who enter my life and leave their mark. I hope that you enjoy this glimpse into my deepest, most precious moments.
