All students need mathematics skills to succeed. New Jersey educators have created the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards, which are the standards that all New Jersey students should meet at certain grade levels. Students need to meet these performance expectations―known as Cumulative Progress Indicators (CPIs)―as measured by the New Jersey High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA) exam in mathematics. This exam will be taken by students in their eleventh-grade year.
