There have been many books written about the Eastern Orthodox Church, covering its history, worship, and spirituality. At the same time that the Orthodox Church has emerged from oppression in Eastern Europe, revealing a spiritual depth able to with stand genuine evil, it has also begun to attract members in Western Europe and North America, disappointed in the superficiality and materialism into which Western Culture has declined.
