You Are In America: SPEAK ENGLISH!

Celia Dolan argues for the right of the American people to communicate in their national language, English. While our country should-and does-welcome foreign immigrants, one requirement for citizenship should be that the applicant be able to speak English with reasonable fluency. This not only preserves and passes on a sense of national pride, it prevents potentially dangerous miscommunication.
