The Face Painter

The Face Painter is the first of thirty-three short stories. They range from the bizarre; "Superstar," to the sad tale of "Killing Charlie," then moves through several that are sorta weird, such as "Roosters in the Bayou." The true story about "Christmas Magic" was told to me by my wife Dottie. "They Never Called Me Nigger Again" is also true. A lovely Black American lady who was visiting a Bahamian island where we lived told it to Dottie and I. The entire world knows her, but I promised to never reveal her name. Never have--never will. I WISH is almost true, and "Strange Species" will certainly become true some day. "Mary Celeste" was real. Many wonder what really happened to her - I think I know.
