The Victim

Still residing at Hargrove Manor, Cindy and Rene are involved in yet another mystery. This time, Tim the Chief of Police in Crescent City, comes to ask for her aide in recovering a body from the deep snow across the road from her estate.The girl is still alive. Cindy takes her back home to protect her from her would-be assassin. Cindy purchases a yacht, takes it to a New York Yacht club and attempts to trap the assassin. They again involve Malcolm's Detective Agency to help them in their pursuit. Cindy puts her life in jeopardy trying to prove their suspect is the guilty party. The story takes a strange twist before the mystery is solved. The Victim is the fourth novel in the Cindy Lawton Series.
