The Infinity Chronicles: Volume 3, Chapter 1: Truckin'

In the year 2990, things have settled abit from the nearly non-stop chaos that was the Garshan War. When the war finally ended, some 250 years ago, everyone assumed that the Garshans had been defeated. The artifact warship commanded by Alexander Carlson, the ‘Slower then Infinity, Squared’, never returned from it’s voyage across dimensional space, taking the fight to the Garshan’s home world. But, in the nearly three centuries since it’s departure, not a single world has been ravaged by the Garshans. Now, the few remaining civilized worlds have begun the slow task of rebuilding an interstellar society, but this time around, the powers that be have decided to due things alittle differently. Having unlocked the technology of the trans-mat booths that littered the small Dyson sphere known as ‘Center’, giant archways, or ‘tele-gates’ have been built on almost every world, and once again freight and people move across the cosmos. Only this time, the freight and people go by car, train and truck... This is the tale of a couple of those people...
