Author George P. Webster sets the Washington Irving story to rhyme in this illustrated children's book, originally published circa 1882 by McLoughlin Brothers of New York. The tale of Van Winkle's adventures playing nine pins with little men of the Catskill Mountains, and the twenty-year nap which took him from before to after the Revolutionary War, is a beloved classic.
