Bold in America is about a Mongolian exchange student whose frustration quickly turns to anger as he tries to adapt to life in America. He isolates himself and resents many of the expectations set by his host family, the Bowers. When Bold meets other exchange students, he begins to let down his guard and learns to trust these new friends and the Bowers.
