This is a comprehensive history of Air Force tactical reconnaissance (Tac Recce) aircraft produced and operated during the Cold War in support of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO's) and non-aligned nations' tactical air and ground commanders. The aircraft are introduced chronologically based on when they became operational. Each chapter provides a detailed review of individual or groups of similar aircraft.
