The Bible is probably the most enduring book in all of Western History, yet modern day readers can easily forget that each book of the Bible is the product of inspired, yet very human authorship. This is particularly evident in the New Testament, as inspired authors address the real needs of their communities through their work. Biblical scholar Fr. David Kaczmarek, T.O.R. examines how the authorship of the Gospel according to John, using the evolving language concepts of their Christian community, told the story of Jesus in unique fashion and responded to issues in the life of the local church.
