La Puerta, Taos: The Art Of Fetching Sky (Artbook)

VOLUME ONE First in a series of books reflecting the lives and work of artists and writers from Taos, New Mexico, a biography of place. This volume is a mini artbook with 92 pages of photos, stories and artwork by Taosenos, the theme in vol. 1 is "place: the Mountain and Paseo" This black and white collection of photos, art and stories about the people and place of Taos range from the early Mable Dodge Luhan "Art Colony" days of the 1920s to current interview with Taos Pueblo artist and storyteller Robert Mirabal. Other famous artists and writers included in this volume are: Barbara and Frank Waters, John Nichols, Jaap Vanderplas, Amalio Madueno, John Nizalowski and Gail Russell.
