Brooklyn Fictions: The Contemporary Urban Community in a Global Age (Bloomsbury Studies in the City)

Vast and diverse, Brooklyn is often portrayed in literature as a place of traditional community values and face-to-face relations, distinct from anonymous, capital-driven Manhattan.
